I am building quite exotic itns SAN->LAX->LHR->OLB (direct LHR->OLB Saturdays only)
and back CAG->BCN->PHL->SAN for $810. Want to bring my parents over for a week and I think Sardinia from San Diego is the most value you can get out of this fare and end up in a fairly unusual place which is easily accessible from Northern Europe, but a pain to get to from the US West Coast.

AMS is just too easy...
