Bug bites on Southwest flights?

A couple months back I flew home from Mexico and after the flight (and into the next day) I kept finding bug bites that I had not noticed while I was on vacation. I thought maybe it was just the temperature change suddenly making me aware of bites that I already had, but because they were all located on my legs I was a little paranoid that I got chewed up by something in the seats or on the carpet.

This weekend the same thing happened to my husband on the way home from Puerto Rico (though not all the bites were on his legs). He didn't notice a single bite while we were on the trip (even I only had two and I am like crack to mosquitoes) but by the time we got home he had a lot. We were sitting in separate rows because I foolishly forgot to check in at T-24.

Has anyone else noticed bites while flying Southwest? Or other airlines for that matter? I'm wondering if I need to be worried about bringing some kind of pest into my house via my clothes or underseat bag.
