This card was accepted by an SNCF train ticket machine!!!

This is a big deal as these French ticket machines are notorious for not accepting US issued VISA chip credit cards - even those with embedded PINs.

I wasn't even prompted for a PIN. Both transactions were under €25. Don't know if that was why I was not prompted for a PIN. Maybe?

I hope it keeps working for me as I have more regional tickets to purchase at short notice during my trip.

This machine was at the SNCF boutique at Bellecour in Lyon. I don't think it accepted cash at all.
