UX F Breakfast Promised/Not Served

Flew UA6242 MSP-IAD this morning where I scored an excellent deal: F for $171ai ($92 Y paid in June + $79 to UG at OLCI). Flight departed MSP 8:05 AM (actually more like 8:10), and due to routing around storms (had some turbulence departing MSP), arrived IAD about 15-20 minutes late. Equipment was E175 which was a MSP start, arrived the night before, all else seemed normal vs. other UA/UX flights I've been on. When I UG'd, only 2 other F seats were full, by takeoff that number was up to maybe 8 of 12 including 2-3 people who walked on ahead of me in Group 1 when they called on the GSs.

However, in F, they only served Stroopwafels and snack basket stuff, never a meal, despite promising breakfast. This despite breakfast being advertised for United First on the website flight status amenities page. I thought the FA would come through with a breakfast order after offering snack stuff, never happened.

I assume this is something I should email in (I screenshot the amenities tab), maybe UA will throw some miles my way as a goodwill gesture (given what happened, it would be cool to say that I "eat frequent flier miles for breakfast"). I had to rush straight to the office after landing so was looking forward to breakfast on board, as it meant not having to get up even earlier to get food before boarding. But I'm curious, how often does this happen, and what's the main reason? Guess I should have done more investigating on board...
