You're especially misinformed on space, the BA F seat on a 777 provides over a 1/3 more space (in regards to total 'space'), the A380 much more than that.
That said, as to whether it's worth $700 more to you, will be a personal thing. I'd spend it myself, for the much better service as much as the much better seat
At end of the day though, what matters in terms of experience is perception, whilst BA 777/747/787 may give comfortably more personal space in reality than AA 77W J, it doesn't feel like *that* much of a difference to me in terms of space and privacy, particularly if you're sat in the AA mini-cabin (A380 is however clearly in a different class altogether in terms of space).
OP - I assume this is $700 e/w? If so, I'd take BA A380 F one way and AA 77W the other way to compare. If $700 return it would be an easy decision - BA 380 F both ways as the experience *is* significantly better.
