50E, 53E and 64A

Just flew LHR-SIN in 50K.

Overall, it was a pretty good seat. I prefer the privacy of not being in the aisle. I noticed no noise at all from the toilet area. The only thing that I did notice was the occasional light from when people opened the doors. The other downside is that there is only one window which you need to lean forward to look out of. For me, this was only really something I noticed when landing, but am not really bothered about 5 mins out of a 13 hour flight. No problem with service from this seat and likewise, to climb over one person 2-3 times in a flight isn't the end of the world. There are also 3 window luggage compartments for you to decant various things for easy access.

I have 53E booked for the way home. I was among the first on the plane on the way out so had a quick look at it. It looks like the centre seats are are a little wider on one side, but there aren't as many luggage compartments as on the window seats. Another observation was that the seat looks directly at a wall. Whilst most of the time spent would be asleep or watching films, it's still not a great view. There is the potential for noise from the galley so still deciding on whether to stick with 53E or change it in for 50A.

I have also travelled PE a couple of times on the A380. In my opinion, the window seats are the ones to go for, with one of the main reasons being the luggage space. I did note, however that in seat 64A, only one of the compartments opens. I assume that there are some electronic gubbins concealed within. I wouldn't be surprised if this was also the case with 64K. I had picked 64 as it's midway between potential screaming kids and the toilets. 63A turned out to be fine on the kiddy noise front, but I suppose that it depends on the day...
