International flight on United to Japan on a 777-200. Their website says the flight has WiFi but no details on the provider (it said they offer multiple providers) or type of service. From what I've read, the older GoGo did not support video streaming but the newer Ku-band does. I saw one site which said some of United's planes now offer the Ku-band, but not many.

Just wondering if anyone out there knows what United WiFi supports on an international flight to Japan. Would love to have access to WatchESPN to watch college football during the trip. Worst-case scenario I can just do game cast and read the play-by-play.

I've seen a lot of articles on in-flight WiFi but none are terribly recent. Hopefully there's been a breakthrough...
