Watching the seat map

One of the more curious "benefits" of FLY is that the seat map is now open until the flight departs.

It's been fascinating to watch the 183 tonight (LHR-JFK). It's pretty damn full ... and it's been very interesting to watch each cabin fill up - which seats are selected in what order etc.

I've watched one person get op-upped to F ... yes - I'm talking about you 20D ...

Of course - I'm watching it because I know it's busy and I'm hoping I might get that Op-up myself.

But we've gone from 5 seats free in J, 3 in W and several in Y to nothing in Y, 1 in W (which has remained stubbornly unselected) and down to 1 in J.

And as I've been typing - 3 more has just been bumped to F - lucky you 13A, 14K and 60A - I'm jealous :-)
