I'm on WN18 HRL-HOU right now. They did a water cannon salute over the plane as we taxied out. Then got out to runway and ATC put us on a 30 min hold.

Funny thing was flight aware said it was to be a -300. We got on with no wifi, no winglets, and pre-evolve seats and I told my daughter, wow this is an old plane I bet they retire it soon. Then the captain came on and explained this is the last day for the last -500 and this is the 3rd to last segment.
