How Did AA Calculate The Miles My Qatar Airways Flight Earned? (to merge)
I recently took a trip from Atlanta to Doha on Qatar. The distance from Atlanta to Doha is 7,400 miles. The fare was booked in Y - which should receive 100% of all miles. When I looked at my account activity, I was credited with 3,700 EQMs (half of the total distance) and ~1,850 base miles (half of the EQMs I received).

How did American arrive at these numbers? I was under the impression I should have received all 7,400 miles for EQMs and base.
