Hello -- I am trying to find out if Emirates will allow me to check wine as luggage on a flight from Milan Malpensa to New York City.

I found on their site that alcoholic beverages between 24% and 70% alcohol are considered "dangerous goods" and I *can* check up to 5 liters. However, I can't (yet) find anything stating whether I can check wine (usually less than 16%) or any other alcoholic beverage, and how much they allow.

I always use certified wine shippers (suitable for Fedex, UPS, etc) when I pack and check the wine. I never pack wine in my suitcase.

If you have personal experience, or know a location on the Emirates site that says that alcoholic beverages can be checked, please let me know.
