Is the 46 min connection due to a schedule change? If so, I'd give AA a call and ask for an earlier MCO-DFW flight--have the flight# handy to tell the agent.
I had this happen to me for 2 upcoming flights (schedule changes that would give me about 40 min at DFW), and agents moved me to earlier flights without any issues.

Typically the larger planes begin boarding about 45 min before departure time. So you'd need to really hustle between gates to make that connection.

Is there a later DFW-NRT flight after AA61? From what I can see there isn't. That would be my starting point to see if it is even possible to move to it. So long as you don't want an earlier flight from MCO.
