Too many surveys is not a hotel issue; it pervades the digital age. In olden times, there was a significant marginal cost to running surveys. They had to be printed, stuffed into envelopes, stamped at significant cost and mailed. The ones that were returned had to be hand processed and analyzed. Alternately, focus groups had to be formed and paid.
With computers handling everything, it costs about the same to send and process 100,000 surveys as it does 100.
Personally, I rarely respond to uncompensated surveys but to each his or her own.
