I think the tourist should be given true guidelines for Buddhas, the ones you do have to get an export license and the ones (such as my souvenir trinkets) that you do not have to get an export license. The actual regulations do not seem to discriminate between these 2 types of Buddhas?
Clearly you have no idea how life proceeds in Asia. You choose to bring attention to your position when most people simply go about life and say nothing.
