Just had 2 days at the Conrad in Cairo. Was upgraded (as a diamond) to an Exec room and the lounge is nice on the 22nd floor. Room is well appointed and was generally happy all round. Only bad thing is that for some reason it takes for ever to checkout (like 5 mins!) and this has happened the 2 times I have stayed at the Conrad.

Conrad is very near Cairo Museum (10 mins by cab and around 15 EGP).

As you probably know, Cairo is a nightmare for traffic so getting around can take a long time. Also, departing Cairo airport, if going thru Terminal 1 is amongst the worst of any airport in the world (no exaggeration!). Leave 4 hours from City Centre to cover most eventualities.
