The trek to the club is marginally longer from the Ewa tower, but given the sometimes excessive elevator wait times, this is what you'll be cursing most, not the walk to the other tower.
In my view, this advice is right on the money. View is more assured in the DH tower and unless someone in your group is physically challenged, the walk between the towers to the club is really a non-issue.
In either tower, if the hotel is busy the elevators are the big drag. I just hope you don't get stuck in one -- as I did once.
