My ambassador has it pretty good with me, as I'm also low maintenance. Roughly 40% of my stays are at one hotel, and I need no help there (and you can't upgrade much at a 4 Points). When my wife has gone with me, my ambassador has been able to procure large suites for me in various St. Regis, LC and Westin resorts- most being sold out. My last stay at St. Regis Punta Mita was sold out and I had to stay in the 600 sq. ft. standard room. I found out when I got there that the President of Mexico was there with family, and took all the upgrades. My ambassador always asks if it's a special occasion (birthday, anniversary, etc) and uses this and my status as leverage. I do not use my ambassador often, but when I have called his number, he has mostly come through.
