Sheraton is opening a hotel in Cartagena on 1 December. I have a trip booked for January but I can't get anyone at Starwood's Reservations to let me know when the hotel will be available for booking. The last person I spoke with said that it couldn't be available for reservations until after the opening date. Could that be right?

In any case, does anyone have experience with staying at brand new properties and how far in advance they were able to book?
