Did QR tried to rip me off?

I had to cancel a booking made directly with QR. As I had access to the fare rules, I already found out the details:

Fare EUR165.00
YQ/YR EUR237.00
+ normal Taxes approx. EUR130.00

Cancellation penalty is USD300.00 = EUR269.00. YQ/YR is non-refundable if fare is non-refundable.

So, as per my calculation I might get between EUR263.00 and EUR367.00, depending on QR's calculation.

As QR had an online cancel option, I tried this first. The amount there, which I might get back, was a whooping EUR110.00! I called QR and demanded an explanation about how this amount is being calculated. The agent on the phone came to the same result as I did, the amount should be EUR263.00. But she wouldn't let me cancel it on the phone, I should do it online. Remember: The amount shown on the website was less than half the amount we calculated!

After some escalation she agreed to do the cancellation for me and, surprise surprise, the amount I'll be getting back is EUR367.00!

Of course this leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Anybody who is not able to see/read the fare rules might only get 1/3rd of the price they are supposed to get. I call this quite a rip-off.
