I have some sympathy, as it's not a great start to their holiday, but to say it's ruined a two week trip is going a bit far, and I wonder what they're trying to achieve by going to the press. BA will refund them the money they forked out to buy replacement items (which no press article bothered to mention) - and they really should have had medication in their hand luggage (from the description in the DM, it is highly likely that these were tablets so no liquids issue - and surely the place you really want access to your Deep Vein Thrombosis medication is on a plane?). They also look like they're having a lovely time at Disney World in one of the pictures...
