Putting the issue of putting important meds in your checked luggage aside, I still don't think their holiday would have got off to the best start with all their clothing / toiletries and pram being missing.

Unless you lot know of some way of taking everything that 5 people need (including two toddlers with a pram) on as hand luggage only that I don't. People on their once a year family holiday don't travel the same way as a regular single traveller on business, and it's too easy to forget that.
