I contacted Delta on twitter and they acknowledge that there was no reason to change me seats and can't give it back to me. They didn't provided any reasons for the change.
I have a baker's cyst and I need to stretch my legs regularly and also love flying so it was the perfect seat. In C+ there are only 2 middle seats left so no hope there at t-72 for me, only few seats left mostly on the middle row at the back.
All they could do is offer me a 50$ voucher and make a note for the GA regarding my knee and potentially accommodate me at the gate.
Did that happened to someone before ? Any hypothesis on the reasons ?
As long as the equipment stayed the same, I would be pissed. Twitter is one way for recourse, but I would also call to speak with a representative as well. They might be able to give you a different seat or potentially give you an explanation as to why you were moved. Let us know how it goes.
