Yes, there are still quite a few KLM Asia planes around, and there is still a KLM Asia subsidiary. BA does not have a British Asia Airways subsidiary anymore as they stopped flying to TPE. Qantas could give up their subsidiary when they were no longer government-owned. I think it all has to do with whether a flagship carrier that goes to both TPE and the China mainland is (loosely) associated with a government or not, and my guess is that as long as KLM is ROYAL Dutch Airlines and as long as the situation between Taiwan and the PRC does not change, there will be KLM Asia.
