I don't doubt that (it is the general modus operandi for many businesses nowadays. It is exacerbated when you are dealing with an entity which in some respects is complacent and does not recognise the extent of the competition it faces).

But if you say things often enough, they might eventually get through.

(PS: Don't get me started on the use of "reached out". I have forbidden the use of that linguistic abomination (along with many others) in my presence...my staff know not to use weasel words and just say what they mean when speaking or writing to me)
