Agree with you completely

I know what you mean. Here in PHL, with Southwest coming, there is no US Airways counter-advertising. WN is now a sponsor of most of the major sports teams in the city (there is a WN ad in the outfield at the new Citizens Bank Park) and radio stations are playing promotions for WN that last no more than 30 sec. ("coming to Philly on May 9") and giving away trips for which WN is a sponsor.
I always just get the feeling that their advertising is weak here because everyone "knows" that US Airways is sort of a hometown airline. That said, whenever there is a fare sale (Caribbean or Europe), we still get full page ads in the Philadelphia Inquirer giving details. I've noticed some UA and LH ads appearing, too.
I'm also getting tired of those WN ads on TV (e.g. the pilots doing their preflight checks, before putting on their "cool sunshades").
