Here is a particularly egregious example:

Hyatt Union Square, September 22-23. The base room (Courtyard Studio) is available under Advance Purchase ($486), StayFit ($559), and Double Your Points ($593). But surprise! - not offered under Standard Rate, where cheapest room is the $569 Urbane Studio.

By contrast, Andaz 5th plays by the rules, and offers the $745 Andaz King for 25K GP points - well over 3 cents per point when you figure in taxes.
