If you go to the United App, the plane used to eventually fly Glasgow-Newark was brought in from LHR. Looks like they canceled a LHR-EWR, flew the plane and the crew up from Heathrow, and continued on to Newark.
My guess is there's still a 757 sitting at Glasgow.
