During the snow disruption in Feb when just about every flight out of JFK was delayed I still found GC alright. There were always seats available and the provisions never ran out. Myself and family spent about 90 minutes more than planned in GC and I'd rather be there than sitting by the gate.

I find the windowless ORD and BOS GC lounges far less pleasant places to be during a delay.
