Assuming that you meant RTW and not WTR....

This is one of the problems with checking bags on an RTW itinerary. If they misconnect, your best result may well be that your bags end up chasing you around the world, perpetually one stop behind you.

I've done a bunch of these itins. I deal with it by only checking my bag one flight at a time, going landside, collecting my bag, then checking in again after each flight. (There are a few exceptions, -- I'm not concerned about checking my bag(s) through a HKG connection, for example.) Yes, that means that I have to leave a lot of extra time between flights; but, for me, it's well worth avoiding the misconnecting bag problem.
