Glad to find this thread. My booking, although not an award, is now not allowing me to see the seat map. When I originally made the booking, I had no issues seeing the map on the CX site. Now, it won't. Frustrating.
Same issues here!
I had to select my seat by calling into to CX customer service. I was able to choose my seat at the time that I booked my flight. Got alerted about a change in aircraft type from the myflights app, and subsequently found that I was no longer able to view the seat map on the CX website.
According to the customer service agent, it appears their IT system did recognize that I have OWS, but for some reason it wasn't giving me access to the seat map so I couldn't make the changes myself.
