So now when I look and see that Lifetime counter showing a few hundred k from the 2MM mark I reflect on the original Star Trek show when Scotty says " Fool me once, shame on Thee. Fool me twice shame on Me". At that point I usually book OAL ...

That is my take on the further pursuit of MM milestones. I was taken aback by the "enhancement." Why in the world would these two firms, embarking on a extremely complex, risky merger, set aside time to devalue the MM flyer? Score 1 for COdbaUA management; 0 for "overentitled elites." IF the notion that post 1MM fliers ebb away after achieving the goal is common tribal knowledge among UA MP management that only makes the probability of further devaluation greater. In their eyes, the affected class has already left. To achieve 4MM on AA or 2MM on UA would take single minded effort on my part. Just not there anymore
