Actually if you read above you will see that those of us with a lot of flying experience agreed pretty rapidly about auto lands. (One post back and forth for clarity.) We were just using different terminology.
The rest, as you say, is your opinion. And you are certainly entitled to it.

I believe I am the safest pilot out there because I always focus on safety first, but, I also read/learn as much as can to continue to be the safest out there. I would think every time you fly you do everything you can to be the safest pilot out there. The most safe. The number one safest pilot. Why would you act any different? (And I am not saying you don't.)
I think we are closer than you think on our points, just expressing them differently.
