There is a way to download Netflix content for offline viewing, but it does cost money. Actually, you can download any streaming content for offline viewing using a service called PlayOn Plus SVR (Streaming Video Recorder).

I use it and love it. I'm not exactly sure if it violates Netflix or any other service's terms & conditions. But, it does seem that PlayOn has some connection to Netflix and others since they use the API's.
