Yes, I far prefer to fly, and yes, I dabble with flying too, with pilots who do not believe they are the safest out there. It means they understand they can always learn, and are always trying to be safer.

Just as I far prefer working next to a controller who knows they are not the best, rather than one who thinks they are the best.
