Eating and sleeping on an aircraft in J should not be exclusive options.
For those who cannot sleep through a meal service, why not wear some eye shades and ear plugs / noise cancelling headphones....you're not buying a private hotel room, but a seat in a commonly shared environment where you should expect a certain level of activity - that including both eating and sleeping, people moving about the cabin, passengers shuffling down the aisle to the toilets, etc., etc.
QF should be challenged for creating the myth that providing catering reflective of the price paid for J is somehow a customer negative! QF treating its customers as a bunch of suckers....
