The CAA at least have some experimental evidence to suggest an issue - certainly sufficient to adopt a cautious policy. If you have your own evidence perhaps you should submit it to the CAA?
Thank you for the sarcasm, however I was asking a genuine question as to where in the cabin you might be sat that is within 0.3m of an instrument or wiring harness as described by CAA. The IFE is the only example I can think of. Do you know of others?
Nothing wrong with playing it safe, however in 25 years of travel I have never seen a single case reported where passenger electronics are said to have interfered with aircraft systems. If that was really the case then surely efforts would be made to limit the number of devices on board.
