Does not seem right YYC is mainline AA YYC to DFW or Westjet codeshare
Am sorry but this seems wrong as I recently looked at flights on this route.

AA from YYC to DFW is AA mainline, 2x per day, AA1694 and AA1665 both operated by A319s. There are codeshares on Westjet via other centres to DFW such as LAS.

Unless I am missing something there appears to be a disconnect.

Call the agent again and request above flights for availability.
