I usually send my wife and daughter to NY a couple of times a year. They love it. And they love the Marquis. If someone's never been to NYC before or wants to have the "touristy" feel to the trip, then the Marquis is very hard to beat.

Is the Marquis the better hotel? That depends on what you want, but it is at least in the discussion.
