Totally agree on the Marquis. You cant get any more "in the heart of Times Square". Lion King is practically in the hotel, Hamilton is right down the block etc. Its a great hotel but does provide a bit of sensory overload.
I am in NYC 2-3x a month. I used to stay exclusively at the Marquis: but then I discovered the Marriott East Side right next to the Waldorf. Ive mentioned this hotel in the other threads, but I just find it much nicer. Quieter, decent rooms, nice but compact gym, SOLID concierge lounge, etc. I know the OP didn't list it as a choice, but that is now my go to hotel in NYC.
