8dimsum - I've heard good things about Crystal. I'd say pick what you like and go for the itinerary you like the best. We've not taken our kids on a luxury cruise, only Disney and NCL. The Haven in NCL helps bump up the service and amenities over a standard cabin. Kenny got us a great deal on 3 cabins for our cruise December 2015.

When cruising with family, we scale back our $$ and expectations to Princess where I have 'Elite' status.
