I'm not very familiar with the Galleries departure lounges at T5, do they have showers?
Yes both North and South have showers. As does T5B. The main shower area is in South, but at that time North will be quiet. The showers are clearly signposted, they need to sign in for it and show their boarding pass. If there isn't one immediately available they'll get a bleeper device. In North it's right inside the lounge, in South it's on the first level above departures, with the lounge itself on the second level.

The American Arrivals lounge is also available to them in T3, again complicating the process and forcing them landside but the shower section there is brand new, it was fitted out a few weeks ago, and stays open longer than BA Arrivals, until 15:30 hrs.
