I went in the other day and gave him my ID. From that he pulled up my chase account and was able to tell me that there were no pre-approvals.

Yes, exactly. Banker asked for my Chase debit or credit card. (I only have credit cards with Chase.) He verified my address with DL then asked for my Chase secret word. At no time did he ask for my SSN or any other personal info.
