There is a mistaken belief in this thread that there is "compensation". It is not compensation, but reimbursement for necessities whilst traveling. The presumption is that when one is home one has an extra razor around.

The prepaid cards (debit not credit) are simply an easy accounting method for BA. Rather than collecting receipts and paying people to add them up, BA simply provides the funds up front.
