Just had this happen yesterday at the Bangkok CY.

My first day in Asia is usually spent getting used to the time change. The DND sign was on the door, the latch closed on the door and the bottom lock locked. First there was knocking, which woke me up. The housekeeper left once he knew I was in the room. An hour later, again there was knocking and this time the housekeeper tried entering the room. Again, I was awoken and explained I did not want to be disturbed. An hour later, again there was knocking, which again woke me up. Finally, an hour later the housekeeper unlocked the door and was banging it open and shut in an attempt, I guess, to break the latch. I woke up, went to the door and the housekeeper started yelling at me through the crack about needing to get into the room.

Once he finally left, I went downstairs and spoke to the manager, who was at a loss as to why this was happening, as opposed to a note being slipped under the door advising housekeeping could not enter the room. I've done this first day routine at the JW, the Ren and the FS, and a note has always been slipped under the door. After speaking with the manager, though, the housekeeper did not come back to the room, thankfully.
