The rate codes may change per property, and likely you'll see some sort of key to them:
UNM-01K might mean "University of Northern Michigan - 1 King" -- so - think about all the different rate plans, and how they could be combined with room types to make a rate code.
The ID field is the username of the person at the desk that added that item to your bill. Usually in smaller properties, the night auditor's ID, CDUGAY is Charlie Dugay, of course.

WLEUNG is William Leung, and so on. The ID changes, but the charges for a given day will always be the same ID / person. The limit for display in this field is limted number of chars, so JTHOMPSON would either have just JTHOMP or something like that, as well.
Back to your original question, the rate plans will not likely be the same, ever, in two different properties.

Could a travel agent find out what a rate code at a specific property means, or how to qualify? Or is there any system that would tell?
