Good advice all! Thank you. I was actually leaning towards the 22" but decided this aft, after packing both bags, to go w/ 20" expandable. While the 20 & 22" fit my stuff from the last 2 trips I was on (Tokyo & London), I realized (short of bottles of wine) that I was able to get everything into the 20" (and then expandable). And if I needed more that's what the duffle was for. The purpose of this bag was NOT to fit everything in, but to be a go-between btwn the overnight carry-on & the duffel.

And btw - I'm NOT getting into a carryon vs check situation here, but what are you alll thinking of?!! I weighed my luggage after "tokyo & london" & we're talking 30lbs (luggage 10.5) each trip - tried simulating lifting it to overhead bin - yeah, like that's gonna happen w/o help - not. Short of Freddies etc - this sucker is still being checked. I don't schlep luggage!! Again, not checking works for me. I think you're all nuts (she says lovingly), but to each their own!
