I've been thru PVG several times. There is no transit option. You will be required to clear customs and immigration. Then upstairs to reclear security and customs.

CX does not offer transit assistance. I think you are a risk of making this. My average time clearing on entry (with an APAC card) is 15 minutes. But the delays are always upstairs on departure. Security is dreadfully slow and even in J my average wait is 30 min, and the exit immigration.
