It is very weird.... during the transition (from Saturday to late today), previously L class fares were Q class fares, but allowed the booking class to be either Q or L.

This has been changed to Q only. With the change, Q class availability became sparse, like the old L class. The new L class had plenty of availability.

Indeed, there were plenty of cheap inventory plentily available this weekend. This has changed now since L class is no longer allowed on Q fares.

I can't imagine there being another Q-points change. There was already a change on Jan 1, 2004, moving Q class from 50% to 100% Q-points. To move it back would be very confusing.
