Hello,

I am flying MSP-AMS shortly. On my flight there, I am in regular economy, however I was given (and paid $99) for the option to take an exit row seat (I have no medallion status, if it's not obvious!). I've never seen this option before, as it always says they are preferred - are these seats released at a certain time to be bought by anyone on the flight if they are not already taken?
