Hello, I am planning a trip to Rome and am considering flight options. What is the general opinion on Air Canada vs Alitalia service wise etc? I'd like to fly on a newer'ish plane but not at the expense of service

Alitalia flies older A330's (though renovated) while Air Canada flies B777's in the summer (peak season) and A330's in the winter, but has also flows the B787. Possibly testing the market to see if there is greater demand.

Offer me your opinions. I'm not against flying a connection either but not at the top of my desirability list
